Isuru Liyanarachchi

Isuru Liyanarachchi has a diverse range of work experience in the field of IT and cybersecurity. Isuru started their career as an IT Assistant at Ceylon Biscuits Limited, providing technical support and configuring hardware and software. Isuru then worked as an IT Executive at LB Finance PLC, where they designed and implemented network infrastructure and handled domain controllers and mail servers.

Isuru then joined Hayleys Business Solutions International as a Senior Executive in IT and Infrastructure, leading a team and ensuring uninterrupted IT support. Isuru also worked on SQL servers and implemented ISO 27001 information security management systems.

At LB Finance PLC, Isuru served as an Assistant Manager and later as a Manager of Network and IT Security Infrastructure. In these roles, they were responsible for the security and maintenance of the IT infrastructure, networking, and system administration across national and international regions. Isuru also worked on capacity planning and optimization of the infrastructure.

Currently, Isuru is working as the Head of Cyber Security, Governance, and Compliance at LOLC Technologies. In this role, they lead the Information Security Team and is responsible for safeguarding the conglomerate's infrastructure. Isuru focuses on elevating cybersecurity awareness, aligning with industry norms, and enhancing cyber defense.

In addition to these roles, Isuru has experience as a Group Information Security Architect at LOLC Technologies, where they played a key role in defining and implementing the cybersecurity roadmap and guiding the security team. Isuru also worked with stakeholders to build and maintain the overall information security strategy of the group.

Isuru Liyanarachchi's education history is as follows:

From 2013 to 2015, Isuru attended the University of Colombo, where they pursued a Master of Information Technology degree in the field of Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services.

Prior to that, from 2009 to 2012, Isuru studied at SLIIT and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications.

Isuru also attended Royal College Colombo, where they were a member of the RCU from 2009 to 2018. The specific field of study for this degree is not provided.

Before their university studies, Isuru completed their GCE A/L exams in Mathematics at Royal College Colombo from 1998 to 2007.
