Rachelle Bussell

SVP, Advancement at Loma Linda University Health

Rachelle Bussell is the Senior Vice President of Advancement at Loma Linda University Health. Rachelle has over a decade of experience in the field of development and fundraising, having previously served as the Senior Director of Development at the University of South Carolina.

During their time at USC, Rachelle was responsible for expanding and leading the development program for a $75 million building campaign for the School of Law. In addition, they managed communications, events, and alumni relations areas. Rachelle also oversaw 200 top prospects and coordinated University Leadership, Dean, Faculty and peers for alumni major gift cultivation and solicitation.

Rachelle led a full program audit and strategic planning to fully reorganize the development department and integrate Alumni and External relations, events, and communications/publications. As part of this process, they implemented a past due pledges program, stewardship program, annual giving programs expansion, and major gift program. Rachelle also created a Class Agent Program.

In addition, Rachelle coordinated the Partnership Board, Law School Alumni Association Board, and Capital Campaign Building Committee. Rachelle also worked with central development on capital campaign initiatives, strategies, and plan development for a $1 billion campaign.

Rachelle's experience and dedication to their work have made their an invaluable asset to Loma Linda University Health. Under their leadership, the organization has seen significant growth and success.

Rachelle Bussell has a Master's degree in Philanthropy and Development from LaGrange College, a Bachelor's degree in General and Experimental Psychology from the University of South Carolina, and a certification from CFRE International as a Certified Fund Raising Executive.
