Clare A. Sammells

Clare A. Sammells serves as an Associate Professor of Anthropology at Bucknell University since July 2009, where courses include Introduction to Cultural Anthropology, Economic Anthropology, and a first-year seminar on zombies. Additionally, Clare holds the position of Interim Program Director for Latin American Studies. Prior experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor and Visiting Assistant Professor at Loyola University Chicago, where courses focused on Globalization and Local Cultures among others. Clare's academic journey began as a Graduate Student Instructor and Teaching Assistant at the University of Chicago from 2000 to 2008, contributing to a range of courses in Latin American Studies and ethnographic methods. Educational credentials comprise a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Chicago and an A.B. in Folklore and Mythology from Harvard University.
