Stephen Apanel

Stephen Apanel is an accomplished higher education professional with extensive experience in student housing and residential life. Currently serving as the Director of Housing Services at Bucknell University since April 2009, Apanel leads a team that manages all aspects of housing and student services, focusing on creating a vibrant and inclusive living and learning environment for 3,500 students. Previous roles include Vice President, President, and Past President of the Mid-Atlantic Association of College & University Housing Officers, where leadership encompassed overseeing organizational restructuring. Apanel’s earlier positions include Assistant Director of Commuter and Residence Life at Immaculata University, Assistant Director of Residence Life at Saint Peter's University, and Residential Life Coordinator at Bucknell University, all of which contributed to significant improvements in housing occupancy and student engagement. Apanel holds a Master's degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Studies from Philadelphia University.
