Lizzie Bird

Lizzie Bird is an experienced planning professional with a strong background in strategic planning and community engagement. Currently serving as Deputy Manager of Strategic Planning at the London Borough of Hackney since April 2018, Lizzie is involved in the preparation of site planning guidance and area-specific plans. Prior to this role, Lizzie held the position of Senior Project Lead at Soundings-Engagement, where responsibilities included extensive stakeholder engagement for masterplan proposals and mixed-use developments. Previous experience includes project coordination and community engagement roles at Social Regeneration Consultants and archiGRAD, as well as a position as a Graduate Planner at the Government Office for London. Educational qualifications include a BA (Hons) in Town Planning and a Postgraduate Diploma in Urban Design, both from Newcastle University.
