Tom Burns

Tom Burns is an Associate Teaching Professor at London Metropolitan University, a position held since August 2023, following a long tenure as a Senior Lecturer at the same institution from 1994 to August 2023. In the Centre for Professional & Educational Development, Tom Burns has established a reputation as an e-learning champion and contributed to the MA (Education) team by delivering courses on Research Methods, Sociological Frameworks, Youth, Identity and Schooling, and Educational Responses to Refugees. Currently, Tom Burns serves as the module lead for Facilitating Student Learning and tutors in Curriculum Evaluation and Development within LondonMet's PGCert & MALTHE programs. Tom Burns holds a Master of Arts in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education from London Metropolitan University and a Bachelor of Arts in English and European Poetry, Prose & Drama from the University of Essex.
