Alastair Hutton

Alastair Hutton is a seasoned project manager with extensive experience in the railway sector, currently serving as Project Manager for Digital Delivery at London North Eastern Railway since November 2025. Prior to this role, Alastair was Programme Manager (TRU) at TransPennine Express from July 2020 to October 2025, where responsibilities included developing the programme management approach for the £9 billion Transpennine Route Upgrade Programme and leading a joint PMO integrating multiple stakeholders. Alastair's experience also includes project management roles at Great Western Railway, focusing on possession delivery and the mobilization of colleagues from Heathrow Express, as well as a graduate role in rail operations management at FirstGroup plc. Alastair holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Hull and has participated in an exchange program in International Business at California State University, Long Beach.
