Matt Pocock

Matt Pocock is currently the Operations Director at London Overground Rail Operations Ltd. Prior to their current position, Matt Pocock was with Arriva Rail London for 6 years and 3 months where they held the positions of Operations Director and Performance Director. In their role as Operations Director, Matt was responsible for providing a renewed and executive level focus on driving and delivering performance improvements. As Performance Director, they developed and owned improved relationships with industry partners to deliver required standards of performance, including new performance initiatives.

Before Arriva Rail London, Matt Pocock was the Franchise Mobilisation Workstream Lead at Arriva Rail North. In this role, they were responsible for leading the Operations Workstream to ensure the seamless transfer of Northern into the new Franchise on 1st April 2016. This included smooth day one operation, safety certificate, safety validation of day 1 franchise changes, driver recruitment and training plans, performance and Train Planning lead, and operations projects interfaces.

Prior to their time at Arriva Rail North, Matt Pocock was the Operational Planning Production Manager (STP) at Network Rail for 1 year and 10 months.

Matt Pocock has a postgraduate award from the University of Warwick in Business Leadership. Matt also has a certification from the Association of Project Management in Complete Project Management. Matt'sundergraduate education is from Keele University in Business Administration & Human Resource Management. Matt also has A-Levels from New College in Swindon in Business Studies, Computing, and Law.
