Helen Harrison

Helen Harrison is a seasoned public health professional with a strong track record in leadership and consultancy roles across various organizations. Currently serving as a Visiting Lecturer at London South Bank University and as the Assistant Director of Public Health at Birmingham City Council since September 2023, Helen leads initiatives in Healthy Behaviours and Communities, focusing on creative health, food systems, and mental health. Previous experience includes roles as a Public Health Consultant at Croydon Council and Consultant in Public Health at Surrey County Council, where responsibilities encompassed health improvement and specialist public health support. Additionally, as an Associate at Uscreates, Helen directed public health behavior change projects. Educationally, Helen holds a Master's degree in Public Health from Sheffield Hallam University and a BA Hons in Primary Education from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
