Yana Popkostova

Yana Popkostova is the Founder and Managing Director of the European Centre for Energy and Geopolitical Analysis (ECEGA), established in June 2015, which specializes in environmental risk valuation and promoting resilient energy transitions. In addition to this role, Yana serves as a Keynote Speaker and Boardroom Advisor at the London Speaker Bureau and is an Advisory Board Member for the World Energy & Meteorology Council. Yana has held various positions within the World Energy Council, including Expert and Project Lead for the FEL Taskforce on Dynamic Resilience to Extreme Weather Events, and is recognized as a Future Energy Leader. Yana also contributes to critical minerals governance with UNDP and has experience as an Associate Analyst at the EU Institute for Security Studies. Academically, Yana holds an MSc with distinction from the London School of Economics and has completed additional studies in European Studies, International Relations, and Economics at prestigious institutions.
