Karen Moorhouse McIps

Karen Moorhouse MCIPS has a diverse range of work experience in procurement and contract management. Karen is currently the Head of Procurement at London Stadium, where they are responsible for setting up a procurement team, developing strategies, implementing processes, and establishing best practices. Prior to this, they held the same position at Sport England.

Karen also has experience working at the City of London Corporation, where they were a Commercial Contract Manager and Category Manager. In these roles, they focused on improving contract management practices and developing category strategies for various corporate services.

Before that, Karen worked as a Category Research Manager at Procurement Leaders - Global Intelligence Network, where they managed a team of research analysts and conducted category research. Karen also has experience in SAP training and procurement analysis at the Metropolitan Police.

Early in their career, Karen worked as a Procurement Professional managing consultancy requirements and as a Leisure Assistant and Swimming Instructor. Karen also worked as a Sales Associate at Gap Inc./Gap, achieving top sales within the store and in the Yorkshire region.

Karen Moorhouse MCIPS attended Sheffield Hallam University from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a BA (Hons) degree in Business Studies. Karen also holds certifications in Contract and Commercial Management Advanced Practitioner (ACCM) from IACCM and is a Master of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS). Additionally, Karen has completed a course in Preparing to teach in the lifelong learning sector from City and Guilds.
