Leonid Sopotnitskiy

Leonid Sopotnitskiy, CQF, serves as the Global Director of Analytics & AI Strategy at LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) since January 2021, previously holding the position of Director of Analytics Platform Open Architecture. Prior to LSEG, Leonid contributed to Refinitiv as Director of Desktop Open Architecture and Director of Desktop Platform for Emerging & Frontier Markets from November 2018 to December 2020. Leonid's career began at Thomson Reuters, where various roles included Director of Desktop Platform for the APAC Customer Proposition, Financial Engineering Executive, and Customer Success Manager in Capital Markets & Commodities. Earlier experience includes positions as Quant Trader at MDC Asset Management and Commodities Research Analyst at FTGG Ltd. Leonid holds a Certificate in Alternative Investments from Harvard Business School Online (2023) and two degrees from Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO)—a Master of Science in International Management & Business Administration (2007-2009) and a Bachelor's degree in the same field (2003-2007).
