London Youth Games
Lucy Baines has extensive experience in event management and delivery, currently serving as the Head of Events and Delivery at London Youth Games since April 2017. Previously held positions at the same organization include Senior Delivery Manager, Events and Experience Manager, Events and Workforce Manager, Volunteering and Workforce Officer, and Volunteer Operations Intern. Lucy also gained additional experience as Rewards Manager for the Oxford Half at Motiv Sports in October 2024, and provided logistics support for the Kicks Cup with The Premier League Charitable Fund in July 2024. Prior roles include Festival Manager for the Hackney Half, Course Support for the Oxford Half, and Volunteer Manager for the Blenheim Triathlon, all while obtaining a BSc Hons in Sports Development and Coaching from the University of Gloucestershire between 2013 and 2016, and working as an Events Assistant at WINE SORTED LIMITED from 2013 to 2017.

The London Youth Games is a registered UK sports charity. We’ve been creating life-changing opportunities for young Londoners for 47 years, across all 33 London boroughs in 30 different sports. For some of the biggest names in sport, it all started at the London Youth Games. From athletes and coaches to officials and volunteers, we're proud to have known some the UK's greatest sportspeople from the last four decades: Mo Farah, Zoe Smith, David Weir, Rachel Yankey, Dina Asher-Smith, Raheem Sterling and many more. Every year, teams from all corners of London come together to see who will win our Jubilee Trophy – along with five other prestigious awards.
