Kayleigh Ward

Physician Response Unit EAC at London's Air Ambulance Charity

Kayleigh Ward is currently an Apprentice Paramedic at the University of Cumbria and has been with the London Ambulance Service NHS Trust since June 2018, serving in various roles including Emergency Medical Technician and Emergency Ambulance Crew. Since October 2021, Kayleigh has collaborated with London's Air Ambulance Charity as a casual Physician Response Unit Emergency Ambulance Crew member. Prior experience includes serving as Assistant Manager for Go Ape at Chessington World of Adventures Resort and multiple roles at Go Ape as Instructor and Duty Manager. Kayleigh also has extensive experience as a Lifeguard with Hertfordshire County Council, Go Ape, Ware Priory, the Borough of Broxbourne, and David Lloyd Leisure. Educational background includes attendance at Turnford School and Turnford School Sixth Form.

London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to critically injured people in London. The service provides pre-hospital medical care at the scene of the incident and serves the 10 million people who live, work and commute within the M25. The team, which at all times includes an advanced trauma doctor and paramedic, perform advanced medical interventions, normally only found in the hospital Emergency Department, in time critical, life threatening situations. Based at the Royal London Hospital and founded in 1989, the service treats an average of five critically injured people every day.
