Chris Stott has a diverse range of work experience in the space industry. Chris is currently the Founder, Chair, and CEO of Lonestar Data Holdings Inc. Chris previously held several positions at ManSat, including Executive Chairman and Chairman & CEO. Additionally, they have served as a Mentor at Techstars Starburst and as a Member of the Board of Advisors and Main Board Director at GEEKS WITHOUT FRONTIERS. Chris is also involved with the International Space University as a Faculty Member and Board of Advisors member, and they served as Chair Emeritus at Space & Satellite Professionals International. Chris Stott is a Board Member of AMAR International Charitable Foundation and a Founding Director of the International Institute of Space Commerce. Chris has been an Advocate for the Space Frontier Foundation and served on the Main Board of Trustees at the International Space University for 15 years, including as Chair of the Strategic Resource and Development Committee.
Chris Stott completed their education in a chronological manner. In 1988, they started their Bachelor of Arts (BA Hons) degree in American Studies Politics & Government at the University of Kent, which they completed in 1992. Following that, from 1995 to 1996, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Space Law & Regulation from the International Space University. In 2003, Chris attended Harvard University for a brief period to gain the knowledge of Leading Effective Virtual Teams in the field of Business.
In addition to their formal education, Chris Stott has obtained several certifications. In 1991, they received the Advanced Open Water Diver certification from SSI, and in 2019, they acquired their Free Diver certification from PADI. Furthermore, in 2023, Chris obtained a certificate in the Business of Data Centres from DCD>Academy.
