Tara Lannen

Tara Lannen-Stanton is an experienced library and education professional currently serving as the Director of Long Beach Public Library since August 2019, overseeing a team of supervisors and indirect reports at multiple locations. In addition, Tara operates as an Independent Learning & Development Consultant since June 2010, providing advisory and coaching services to various clients in areas such as curriculum development and program management. Previously, Tara held multiple positions at Queens Library, culminating in the role of Director of Adult Learning, where responsibilities included managing cross-functional departments and implementing workforce development initiatives. Tara's extensive experience is supported by a robust educational background, including a Master of Library & Information Science from Wayne State University and several certificates in related fields.
