Araceli Negrete

Araceli Negrete is currently a Substitute Teacher with Long Beach Unified School District since October 2023. Previously, Araceli served as a College Advisor for USC College Advising Corps from September 2021 to June 2023, working at Sato Academy of Math and Science in Long Beach, CA. From August 2019 to June 2021, Araceli was a Senior AmeriCorps Team Leader at City Year Los Angeles, where leadership skills were utilized to guide a diverse team in Boyle Heights. Araceli began involvement with City Year as an AmeriCorps Member, serving at Woodworth Monroe Middle School in Inglewood. Additionally, Araceli held the position of President and Logistics Coordinator for the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) at UCLA from September 2016 to June 2018, focusing on disaster preparedness and team organization. Araceli holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from UCLA, earned between 2014 and 2018.
