Maureen Tuthill

VP Academic Affairs

Maureen Tuthill is an accomplished academic leader with extensive experience in higher education administration and teaching. Since January 2019, Tuthill has held multiple positions at Long Island University, including Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Conolly College. Previous roles include Vice-Chair of the Faculty and Associate Professor of English at Westminster College from 2014 to 2018 and Assistant Professor of English at Westminster College in both Fulton, MO, and Mesa, AZ. Tuthill began a career in academia after earning a Ph.D. in English from the University of Connecticut, complemented by a Master’s degree from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor’s degree from William & Mary. Additional professional experiences encompass roles in writing and communications, including Storywriter at Business Innovation Factory and Reporter for The Traveler-Watchman.
