Oscar Ugalde

Oscar Ugalde is a seasoned academic with over two decades of experience in higher education. Currently serving as a Global Studies (Economics) and Project Management Professor at LIU Global of Long Island University since January 2000, Oscar also holds the position of Global Finance Officer/Administrator for the Costa Rica Center, where responsibilities include financial oversight and budget management. In addition, Oscar is a Professor at Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica, teaching courses in international finance and economic development, and conducting research in these fields. Prior to this, Oscar taught at Universidad Latinoamericana de la Ciencia y la Tecnología (ULACIT) for over 21 years, receiving accolades for excellence in teaching. Oscar’s educational background includes a Master of Arts in Development Studies from the International Institute of Social Studies, a Master’s degree in Finance and International Trade from Universidad Latinoamericana de Ciencia y Tecnología, a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Clark University, and an International Baccalaureate from UWC-USA.
