Long Live the Kings
Shaara Ainsley is a seasoned project manager and fisheries biologist with extensive experience in marine science and environmental conservation. Currently serving as Senior Project Manager at Long Live the Kings since December 2021, Ainsley focuses on restoring wild salmon and steelhead populations and promoting sustainable fishing practices in the Pacific Northwest. Previously, Ainsley held the position of Scientific Collaborations Director and Senior Fisheries Biologist at FISHBIO, where the responsibilities included fostering partnerships with science organizations and representing agricultural and irrigation clients in various settings. Ainsley's background also includes project management and research roles in California and Southeast Asia, graduate research on the Bering skate at Moss Landing Marine Laboratories, and experience as a library assistant at San Jose State University. Ainsley holds a Master's degree in Marine Science from California State University, Monterey Bay, and a Bachelor's degree in Creative Studies - Biology from UC Santa Barbara, alongside a Project Management certification from UW Professional & Continuing Education.
