Joia Canete

Joia Canete has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2018, they started working as an Analyst for Cornell's Global Economics & Finance Society and as a Copy Editor for Cornell Undergraduate Economic Review. Joia also served as a General Chemistry Teaching Assistant at Cornell University from 2018 to 2020. In 2019, they worked as an Investments Summer Analyst at AIG. Joia then joined the Cornell Society for Women in Business, where they held multiple roles including Analyst and Associate in the Investment Banking Group, Mentor, and Vice President of Internal Development. In 2020, they worked as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst at Citi. In 2021, they became a Valuation of Capital Investment Teaching Assistant at Cornell University and an Investment Banking Analyst at Citi. In 2022, they joined Longroad Energy as a Project Finance Analyst. Canete also has experience in fund management as they served as an Analyst and Fund Manager for the Industrials Fund at The Cornell Hedge Fund. Joia Canete attended Shaker High School from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors. After completing high school, Joia went on to study at Cornell University from 2017 to 2020, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Additionally, Joia has obtained certifications from FINRA, including the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 63, and Series 79.
