Lakendra Weir

LaKendra Weir, LMSW, has extensive experience in social work, currently serving as a Social Worker at Longview Regional Medical Center since May 2019, where responsibilities include collaborating with various healthcare professionals to ensure effective discharge planning for patients. Prior to this role, LaKendra was the Director of Social Services at Focused Post Acute Care Partners (May 2017 - May 2019), working with residents and families to develop care plans in an interdisciplinary setting. Previous experience at Kilgore College as a Project Advisor involved assisting low-income and first-generation college students with academic support and enrichment programs. Additionally, LaKendra worked as a Sub-Contractor at CK Family Services conducting assessments for foster care and adoption processes. LaKendra's academic background includes a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Stephen F. Austin State University, complemented by an Associate of Arts in Behavioral Sciences from Kilgore College.
