Tyler Birnbaum

Tyler Birnbaum serves as the Assistant Director of Athletics Communications at Longwood University, beginning in October 2023. Previously, Tyler held the position of Sports Information Specialist at the University of Wisconsin-Superior from October 2018 to September 2023, where responsibilities included serving as the primary media contact for 19 sports, managing website content, writing press releases, and training over 20 game-day employees. With a background in graphic design, Tyler contributed to cohesive brand messaging and produced various media materials for different athletics departments during tenures at The University of Memphis, Missouri State University, and other institutions. Tyler holds a Master of Science in Administrative Studies with a focus on Sports Management from Missouri State University and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Sciences — Sport Management from Colby-Sawyer College.
