Colten Long has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Colten started in 2012 as a Roustabout at Covington Oil Co., Inc. before moving on to work as an Instrumentation Technician at Luminant from 2012 to 2014. In 2015, Colten worked as an Instrumentation Intern at Oxy and later as an Instrumentation Technician at Eagle Automation Corporation. In 2017, they gained experience as a Floor Hand at Pioneer Energy Services. Colten then interned at Chevron as a Drilling and Completions Engineer in 2018 and as a Reservoir Engineer in 2019. In 2020, they worked at Chevron as an HSE professional and as a Drill Site Representative. Currently, Colten Long is working as a Petroleum Engineer at Lonquist & Co., LLC since April 2021.
Colten Long completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they attended Texas State Technical College from 2012 to 2014, focusing on Instrumentation Computerized Control Systems and Robotics.
