Chip Bankes has over 30 years of experience in the finance industry. Their most recent role was as Vice President and Head of Trading at Loomis, Sayles & Company, which they have held since May 2012. Prior to this, Chip worked as a Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income and Trading at U.S. Trust from April 2010 to May 2012. Chip also served as a Managing Director at R.W. Pressprich from November 2009 to April 2010. Earlier in their career, Chip held the role of Senior Vice President at Putnam Investments from August 1997 to March 2009, and Senior Fixed Income Trader at Jennison Associates from August 1995 to August 1997. Chip began their career as a Corporate Bond Trader at Fidelity Investments in October 1989, where they worked until August 1995.

Chip Bankes earned a Master of Science degree in Finance from Northeastern University, where they attended from 1994 to 1996. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University, studying from 1985 to 1989.
