Paul Vastert

Paul Vastert is a skilled design professional currently serving as the Senior Product Design Engineering Lead at Loop Earplugs since April 2023. Previously, Paul held the position of Head of Design at Avy from October 2015 to January 2023, where responsibilities included overseeing product strategy and company-wide design vision, as well as brand identity. Paul also founded Studio Paul Vastert, offering services in product, graphic, and web design from 2015 to 2019. Paul was a Design Engineer at trakkies.™, contributing to the strategy and engineering of IoT-connected trackers that garnered over €85,000 in crowdfunding. A notable graduate project involved designing a human-powered washing machine tailored for the lower middle class in India, informed by extensive field research. Early experience includes an internship at Coordination Berlin, focusing on the design and production of innovative lighting and furniture. Paul earned a Master of Science in Industrial Design Engineering from Delft University of Technology and pursued electives in photography, graphic design, and art at the University of Technology Sydney.
