Simon Demertzis

Simon Demertzis has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Simon is currently working as a Solutions Engineer at Loop since April 2023. Previously, they worked as a Senior Solutions Architect at MongoDB from January 2022 to April 2023. Prior to that, they served as an Account Partner - Large Enterprise at Slack from August 2020 to December 2021. Simon also held roles at Decision Engines, where they worked as a Director of Solution Engineering from January 2020 to August 2020 and as a Principal Automation Expert from May 2019 to January 2020. Simon worked at SAP as a Pre-Sales Senior Solutions Architect, Customer Experience from March 2019 to May 2019, as a Solutions Consultant (Gigya Acquired By SAP) from July 2018 to March 2019, and as a Senior Technical Consultant (Gigya Acquired By SAP) from May 2017 to July 2018. Simon also gained experience at Huron, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer from December 2016 to May 2017, as a Software Engineer from April 2016 to December 2016, and as a Technical Consultant from May 2015 to April 2016. Simon started their career at LCP Media, serving as a Program Manager from January 2014 to May 2015, as an Operations Specialist from August 2013 to January 2014, and as a Production Associate from June 2013 to August 2013.

Simon Demertzis completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Computer Science at Northeastern Illinois University. Following this, they obtained several certifications including the Slack Certified Admin certification in October 2020 and the Slack Certified Developer certification in November 2021. In April 2021, they completed the course "Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy" offered by MIT Sloan School of Management. Simon also obtained MongoDB certifications, specifically the MongoDB Certified Developer Associate Exam in April 2022 and the MongoDB Certified DBA Associate Exam in May 2022.

Currently, Simon Demertzis is pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, expected to be completed in 2024.
