Kevin Nanke has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Kevin started their career at Webb Technical Group as a Sr Food Scientist from 1990 to 1994. Kevin then worked as an Assistant Professor of Animal Science at Oklahoma State University from 1998 to 2000. In 2000, they joined Surebeam Corp as Director of Quality Systems until 2004. Kevin Nanke then transitioned to Lopez Dorada, where they held various positions, including Director of Food Safety and Quality, Assistant Vice President of Food Safety, Quality Systems, & Production Innovation, Vice President of Food Safety, Quality Systems, & Production Innovation, and then Senior Vice President of the McDonald's Business Unit. In 2021, they became President of Dorada Foods and McDonald's Business Unit and is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer.

Kevin Nanke obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Iowa State University from 1986 to 1989. Kevin then pursued a Master of Science degree in Meat Science at the same university from 1989 to 1991. Later on, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Meat Science and Food Science and Technology from Iowa State University between 1994 and 1998. Prior to their education at Iowa State, Nanke studied Biology, General at the University of Northern Iowa from 1984 to 1986.
