Ian Phillips M.ed.

Ian Phillips, M.Ed., currently serves as a Middle School Teacher at Lorain City Schools, focusing on 7th Grade Social Studies and actively participating as a delegate for both the OEA and NEOEA unions, as well as on the Generative AI Committee. Prior experience includes teaching at ACCEL Schools, where Ian co-developed a disciplinary program and held the position of vice president of the staff Sunshine committee. Ian's earlier roles also encompass a Principal Intern position involving field trip planning and student handbook revisions, along with experience as a Student Teacher and Observer at Garrett Morgan School of Science. Ian's professional background is complemented by a substantial tenure in corporate services and recruiting at Family Heritage Life Insurance Company of America. Ian is pursuing a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction while holding a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and several additional academic credentials in History, Social Studies, and American Studies.
