Jeff Keruski

Executive Director of Family & Community Relations at LORAIN CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT

Jeff Keruski was born and raised in Upstate New York. At age 16 Mr. Keruski quit school due to his lack of connection to learning and the school he was attending. He later lived with an aunt and uncle, while enrolling in a new school system. At age 16 Mr. Keruski wrote his life’s message “Change the hearts, minds, and souls of everyone I encounter.” Mr. Keruski became the first in his family to graduate from high school, and went on to college where he studied hospitality and tourism. Though successful, Mr. Keruski felt a deep void in his heart, and went back to school to earn a Business Education Degree from Oswego State University. Mr. Keruski would later become a high school teacher and coach, for eight years, at the school and district that he had dropped out of, as a teenager. With a Masters and Post-Graduate Degree CAGS from University of New England, Mr. Keruski’s career has been spent as principal at the elementary, middle, and high school level, as well as a district support in his current role as the Executive Director of the Family Office, with Lorain Schools.
