Jennie Weber

Jennie Weber has extensive experience in academic and youth development roles, currently serving as the Academic Internship Coordinator and Faculty at Loras College since August 2016. In this position, Jennie coordinates student internships, connects with community businesses, conducts career preparation programming, recruits internship positions, and teaches career readiness courses. Prior to Loras College, Jennie was the Reach & Rise Program Director at Dubuque Community YMCA/YWCA from February 2014 to August 2016, overseeing a mentoring program for at-risk youth. From August 1999 to January 2014, Jennie worked as a School Counselor at St. Columbkille Elementary, providing counseling and facilitating support groups. Early career experience includes serving as a Child Advocate for the Dubuque YMCA/YWCA Domestic Violence Program from February 1997 to August 1999, where Jennie supported child witnesses of domestic violence. Jennie holds a Master of Science in Counselor Education from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
