Abby is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Saint Thomas and Saint Catherine University. Abby received her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities with an Individualized degree in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies, Social Justice and Holistic and Alternative Healing Therapies.

Abby is experienced in working with children, adolescents, and families who face a variety of challenges. Abby has specialized training in childhood development, trauma, and attachment. She has worked with adults who have mental health diagnoses such as anxiety and depression, dual diagnoses, and those who have had psychosis affect their lives and families. Abby provides support and guidance to clients and families with relationship issues, parenting concerns, attachment issues, behavioral problems, and stressors and trauma. She enjoys collaborating with LGBTQ+ folks and families.

Abby utilizes an integrative approach that places importance on the therapeutic relationship, joining with clients to center them as experts in their own lives to feel supported in envisioning and working towards the life they want to live. She works to provide clients with compassion, curiosity, and flexibility to meet a client where they are at and create a non-judgmental, safe, and accepting space.

Abby applies the use of therapy models such as narrative based therapy, psychodynamic therapy, relational therapy, strengths based perspective, and a holistic whole person/family approach. She has a commitment to social justice and inequities that impact BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and marginalized individuals, families and communities.
