David Debonis

David DeBonis is a seasoned computer scientist with extensive experience in software development and engineering across various industries, including aerospace, environmental research, and technology services. Currently, as a Computer Scientist at CIQ - Ctrl IQ, Inc., David focuses on Linux kernel development and software solutions for the Rocky Linux kernel. Previous roles include Senior R&D Manager for Atmospheric and Environmental Research, where David led the Space Weather Division, and Principal Software Engineer at General Dynamics, overseeing research in distributed simulations for the Air Force. David has also held significant positions at Sandia National Laboratories, ZTEC Instruments, and more, showcasing a robust background in embedded systems, distributed systems, and application development. David holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science, alongside multiple degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of New Mexico and San Diego State University.
