Joel Kulesza

R&d Group Leader, Monte Carlo Codes Group (xcp-3) at Los Alamos National Laboratory

Joel Kulesza is an accomplished nuclear engineer with extensive experience in research and development. Currently serving as the R&D Group Leader for the Monte Carlo Codes Group at Los Alamos National Laboratory since May 2015, Joel has accumulated a wealth of expertise throughout a diverse career, including roles as a Principal Engineer at Westinghouse Electric Company from June 2006 to August 2014, and Graduate Student Research Assistant at the University of Michigan from September 2014 to October 2018. Joel began professional experience as a Nuclear Engineering Intern at Knoll's Atomic Power Laboratory and as a Software Engineering Intern at Westinghouse Electric Company and Compuware in the early 2000s. Educationally, Joel holds a PhD from the University of Michigan (2018) as well as multiple degrees including a Master of Science in Engineering and a Certificate of Graduate Studies from the same institution, supplemented by a Master of Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
