Luigi Osmieri

Luigi Osmieri is a Staff Scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratory since November 2020, specializing in water electrolysis, CO2 electrolysis, and fuel cells. Previously, Luigi held the position of Director’s Postdoc Fellow at the same institution, focusing on platinum group metal-free electrocatalysts for oxygen and hydrogen evolution reactions. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Associate role where non-planar electrode structures for PEM fuel cells were developed and tested. At the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Luigi worked as a Post-Doctoral Researcher, fabricating membrane electrode assemblies and optimizing electrode structures. Luigi's educational background includes a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, complemented by master's and bachelor's degrees in the same field, and specialized training in nuclear energy.
