Michael Fassbender

Michael Fassbender has extensive experience in the field of radiochemistry and nuclear science, currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratory since May 2000, with roles as Acting Deputy Group Leader and Research Scientist. Expertise includes radionuclide production, radioisotope separation science, and re-188 labeling chemistry, among other areas. Previous positions include postdoctoral roles at iThemba LABS, and a research associate position at Forschungszentrum Jülich, along with consulting for the IAEA on nuclear data evaluation for radiation therapy. Education includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry and Nuclear Chemistry, with earlier degrees from the University of Cologne.
