Sam Paterniti is a professional with extensive experience in radiological engineering and health physics. Currently serving as a Health Physicist - Radiological Engineer at Los Alamos National Laboratory since November 2022, Paterniti supports the execution of radiological activities at the highly advanced Technical Area 55 - Plutonium Facility 4. Previously, Paterniti worked with the Environmental Restoration Group from May 2017 to December 2022, focusing on instrumentation and the integration of sensors into UAV payloads for airborne data acquisition. Paterniti began a career in technical support while serving as a Student Technical Specialist at The University of New Mexico from December 2015 to May 2017, specializing in multispectral image analysis. Paterniti holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Earth and Planetary Science from The University of New Mexico, earned in 2016.
