William Redford is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Georgia Institute of Technology, holding a Bachelor of Science degree awarded in 2024. Currently serving as a Post-Bac Distributed Acoustic Sensing Experimentalist at Los Alamos National Laboratory since May 2025, William designs Distributed Acoustic Sensing experiments and performs analyses for system inspection. Previous experience includes an internship at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, where William tested and assembled the VOLT float buoyancy engine, as well as roles as an Engineering Research Fellow at Los Alamos National Laboratory and a Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology, focusing on Sargassum research. Additionally, William contributed as a lab teaching assistant for a robotics course and completed a co-op program at McKenney's, Inc.
