Matthew Harvey is a seasoned legal professional serving as a Deputy City Attorney with the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office since May 2018. Previously, Matthew held the title of Deputy District Attorney at the Orange County District Attorney’s Office from January 2006 to May 2018. Matthew’s legal career began as a Research Attorney/Associate at Jonathan Evans and Associates from August 2004 to January 2006, following a teaching stint at LAUSD and the NYC Department of Education. Matthew's earlier experience includes roles as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley and a teacher at Archbishop Molloy High School, along with teaching positions at the NYC Department of Education. Matthew holds a JD from Fordham University School of Law, a Master’s degree in education from Harvard University Graduate School of Education, and an A.B. in U.S. History from Harvard University.
