Shubhra Shivpuri is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in public and private sector law. Currently serving as Deputy City Attorney for the Los Angeles City Attorney since January 2024, Shubhra provides guidance on worker protection laws and advises on social policies for City Contractors. Previously, as the Founding Executive Director of the Social Justice Legal Foundation from July 2021 to October 2023, Shubhra established a non-profit focused on civil rights litigation and organizational development. Shubhra has also held significant roles at the California Department of Justice, U.S. Department of Justice, United States Attorneys' Offices, and Debevoise & Plimpton, gaining expertise in areas such as civil rights, healthcare fraud, and federal law enforcement. Shubhra holds a Juris Doctor from Stanford University and a bachelor's degree in Public Policy from Northwestern University.
