Belen Monroy has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Belen currently serves as the Lead Program Manager for the Homeless Prevention Unit at the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, where they oversee ongoing projects, policy changes, and program development initiatives. Belen also worked as the Income Advocacy Program Manager for Homeless Prevention at Housing for Health.

Prior to their current role, Belen held various positions at Chrysalis, including Director of Reentry Initiatives and Director of Chrysalis at DOORS, where they oversaw reentry programs and connected individuals impacted by the justice system to vital resources. Belen also served as a Program Manager in Client Services and an Employment Specialist, assisting low-income individuals in job placement.

Belen's previous experience also includes working as a Student Research Assistant at CSULB College of Continuing and Professional Education, where they collected and organized data for research purposes. Belen has also worked at H&M as a Visual Keyholder, responsible for store planning and training new visuals, and at Crossroads Trading as a Store Manager, overseeing inventory levels and educating staff on buying and selling clothing.

At Urban Outfitters, Belen worked as a Visual Merchandiser and Women's Department Manager, overseeing visual displays, analyzing sales reports, and assisting in people development and floor planning.

Belen Monroy obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from California State University, Long Beach from 2014 to 2016. Belen also holds an additional certification in Agile Leadership: Activating Curiosity in Yourself and Others from USC Marshall Executive Education, obtained in 2021.
