Helen Choi

Helen Choi serves as the LCAP/State and Federal Programs Coordinator III at the Los Angeles County Office of Education since January 2022. Previously, Choi held various roles within the Los Angeles Unified School District, including Principal, English Learner Coordinator, and English Learner Specialist, supporting secondary and elementary schools to promote equity and access for English Learner students. Choi's earlier experience includes serving as an Assistant Principal at Curtiss Middle School and as a middle school teacher with a focus on dual language instruction. Additionally, Choi worked as an Adjunct Professor at DeVry University, where responsibilities included teaching introductory psychology and coordinating student development. Choi earned a Master of Education from UCLA and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UC San Diego.
