Richard Anderson is an accomplished data scientist with extensive experience in baseball analytics and quantitative analysis. Currently serving as the Director of Quantitative Analysis for the Los Angeles Dodgers since November 2022, Richard previously held key positions at Warner Bros. Discovery as a Senior Data Scientist and at the Cincinnati Reds as the Director of Baseball Analytics. Earlier roles include Assistant Director of Quantitative Analysis at the Los Angeles Angels, where Richard co-managed a team, led intern recruitment, and developed educational seminars on advanced statistical methods. Richard also has a strong academic background, holding a Ph.D. in Political Science and Government from the University of Michigan, where involvement included teaching large introductory courses. Proficient in R, Python, SQL, and stan, Richard has a proven track record in building predictive models and communicating complex research findings to diverse audiences.
