Marshall Rader is a seasoned professional in basketball operations and salary cap strategy, currently serving as the Director of Salary Cap Strategy for the Los Angeles Lakers since January 2018. Rader's extensive experience includes positions as Manager and Analyst in Salary Cap Strategy with the Lakers, as well as roles in basketball operations with Spurs Sports & Entertainment and Pacers Sports & Entertainment. Previous experience also encompasses stints with the National Basketball Players Association, where Rader worked in Salary Cap, Legal, and Communications, along with contributions as a Basketball Research Assistant for ESPN/FOX Sports and a Staff Writer for Sports Law Weekly and The Sports Lawyer. Rader holds a Juris Doctor degree with a Sports Law Certificate from Tulane University Law School and a Bachelor of Journalism in Strategic Communication from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
