Leslie Garcia

Leslie Garcia is a dedicated professional currently serving as the Program Training Coordinator for the National LGBTQ Institute on Intimate Partner Violence at the Los Angeles LGBT Center since March 2024. Prior to this role, Leslie worked as a Bilingual Client Services Coordinator at YWCA Golden Gate Silicon Valley, where responsibilities included coordinating daily walk-in services and supervising volunteers. Experience as Legal Support Staff at Bay Area Legal Aid involved developing safety planning training and providing technical support for survivors of Intimate Partner Violence. Previously, as a Client Support Advocate at SAVE, Leslie facilitated domestic violence training, created wellness workshops, and developed support groups for Queer/Trans youth, while actively contributing to the organization’s diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Leslie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Latin American Latino Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
