Azra King-Abadi

Azra King-Abadi is an accomplished lighting designer with extensive experience in the theatre and performing arts. Since May 2017, Azra has been a lighting designer for Coeurage Theatre Company and the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and has also co-founded Beyond the Mountain Theatre Company in 2011. Additional lighting design roles have included projects with LA Opera, Greenway Court Theatre, Opera Santa Barbara, Carmel Bach Festival, and Ojai Youth Opera Company, among others. Azra's educational background includes an MFA in Theatre Design from California State University, Long Beach, a BFA in Theatre Design from Concordia University, and a D.E.C. in Visual Imaging and the Studio Arts from Champlain College.
