Janice Bartczak is the current Director of Retail Services at the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Janice has over fifteen years of experience in managing retail operations for cultural organizations.
Janice began their career in the arts working as the Director for the Scottsdale Arts Festival. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of the festival, from artist selection and contracting to budgeting and financial reports. Janice also oversaw the food and beverage program, marketing and public relations efforts, volunteer training, and entertainment. In addition, Janice was responsible for the event layout, onsite management, and online art auction.
After their successful tenure with the Scottsdale Arts Festival, Janice became the Director of Retail Operations for the Scottsdale Cultural Council. In this role, they oversaw the museum stores at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts and Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art. Janice was skilled in creating destination-shopping experiences while generating earned income for nonprofit institutions.
Janice's experience in managing arts organizations has led to their current position as the Director of Retail Services at the Los Angeles Philharmonic. In this role, they are responsible for all aspects of retail operations for the Philharmonic, including product selection, inventory management, sales strategies, and staffing. Janice is committed to providing an exceptional shopping experience for Philharmonic patrons while generating revenue for the organization.
Janice Bartczak reports to Nora Brady, VP, Marketing & Communications. They are on a team with Kimberly Mitchell - Production Manager, Isabella Gorden - Production Associate, and Lisa Burlingham - Director, Marketing.
