Los Angeles Review of Books
Dean Rader is a distinguished academic and writer with extensive experience in the field of English and literature. Since 2001, Rader has served as a Professor in the Department of English and The Honors College at the University of San Francisco. Additionally, Rader has been a member of the Board of Trustees at San Francisco Day School since August 2020 and contributes as a columnist for the Los Angeles Review of Books and The Huffington Post. Rader's writing has also appeared in The Kenyon Review, Ploughshares Journal, and The Rumpus, with prior experience as a columnist and reviewer for the San Francisco Chronicle. An experienced evaluation specialist, Rader worked for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board from 1998 to 2001. Rader holds a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Comparative Literature from Binghamton University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from Baylor University.
