Amy King is an accomplished creative director and editor with extensive experience in journalism and design. Currently serving as Creative Director and Deputy Managing Editor at the Los Angeles Times since January 2020, Amy oversees lifestyle, food teams, and a unified print and digital design group. Previous roles include Assistant Managing Editor and Editor + Creative Director of The Lily at The Washington Post from February 2016 to January 2020, and various design positions within The Washington Post from June 2013 to August 2015, focusing on emerging news products and mobile design. Amy began a career in design at The Arizona Republic, where roles ranged from Features Designer to Designer/Artist. Amy also contributed to academia as an Adjunct Instructor at Arizona State University. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Publication Design and Visual Communication from Ohio University, attained between 2005 and 2008.
