Connor Sheets

Connor Sheets is an experienced investigative and enterprise reporter with a strong background in reporting on critical issues impacting communities. Currently working at the Los Angeles Times since September 2021, Connor covers a diverse range of topics concerning Californians. Prior to this role, Connor served as an investigative reporter for Birmingham News Company from January 2015 to September 2021, where notable achievements included exposing misconduct by Alabama law enforcement and discriminatory health protocols. Additional experience includes a year-long collaboration with ProPublica focusing on Alabama sheriffs, and reporting for various media outlets, including IBT Media and TimesLedger Newspapers. Connor Sheets holds a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland, obtained in 2007.
